Professor Richard Clarida will be visiting the Illinois campus at Urbana-Champaign on October 12, 2018 to accept an Alumni Award from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where he is an alumnus from the Economics Department. More information about the award here under "Seminar Information".
While visiting the campus he will be giving an academic seminar co-sponsered by the Department of Economics, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Alumni Association, and Gies College of Business. Professor Clarida was confirmed by the US Senate on August 28, 2018 to serve as Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank. This confirmation came after President Trump nominated him for the post last year.
