Students participated in reenactment of a Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting just before he 2007-2008 financial crisis.

Washington, DC (spring break field trip)
March 12 – 17, 2023
Students will participate in four presentations at organizations such as the Federal Trade Commission, International Monetary Fund, Inter-American Development Bank, and the World Bank.

R and Python are two important software tools that may give you a competitive edge whether you want to pursue a degree or enter/reenter the job market. The Governor's Office of Management and Budget prepares the Governor's annual state budget and advises the Governor on the availability of revenues and the allocation of those resources to agency programs. An overview of OMB activities and the budgetary process in Illinois will be discussed. A tour of the Illinois State Capitol and a visit to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is planned.
