From March 15–20, the MSPE program traveled to New York City, where students attended a series of professional presentations while also gaining firsthand exposure to one of the world’s leading financial and cultural hubs. The itinerary included visits to Google, the Council on Foreign Relations, Moody’s, and TIAA.

At Google, Raja Jadeja, Group Product Manager for Google Cloud Platform, spoke about the infrastructure that supports modern AI, including GPUs, large-scale computing, and the growing economic impact and applications of AI technologies.

During the visit to the Council on Foreign Relations, Michelle Gavin highlighted key challenges and opportunities influencing Africa’s political and economic landscape, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

At Moody’s, Paul Buttress provided insight into the company’s risk assessment services and credit rating system, emphasizing the continued importance of human judgment alongside AI.

At TIAA, students explored the organization’s role in long-term investing and retirement planning, with an emphasis on delivering client-focused financial security.
