We are happy to meet with students via zoom or phone appointment. When selecting your appointment reason, please include your preferred method of contact. An Advisor will send you a zoom invitation or call you at your scheduled time.
Fall 2020 - Return to Campus:
The Economics Undergraduate Team is happy to continue advising and supporting all of our undergrads this fall! The Economics department is currently creating plans for fall instruction with the guidance of campus and the College of LAS. We expect to have more detail in the coming weeks about any updates to class formats, location, or scheduling. Right now the best source of information about fall is the campus FAQ page. We will share further updates as they become available…stay tuned!
Prior to your appointment:
Please visit our Economics Blog to learn more about policies & updates. https://publish.illinois.edu/econadvising/
To Schedule an Appointment:
- Go to the Academic Advising Appointment Calendar
- Select 'Economics Advising Appointments'
- You may schedule a phone or zoom appointment with any available Econ Advisor
- Make note of your scheduled time/day
New appointment times are opened frequently. During busy times, appointments may fill a week or more in advance, so we encourage students to plan ahead.
Appointments must be made 4 hours or more in advance.
Please make sure to only schedule one appointment at a time to allow appointments for other students.
During busy times, students will be limited to one appointment at a time (first two weeks of the semester, and during registration).
We allow students to decide which Academic Advisor they would like to meet with for advising, or to select an advisor based on availability. Students are not assigned to advisors in our Department, and you may change who you meet over time. Please note, advisor schedules vary and there may be a waiting period for a specific advisor.

Need to Cancel? Go into the system and cancel (up to 24 hours in advance) or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask that you cancel at least 12 hours in advance so we may provide the appointment time to another student.
Students who miss appointments without cancelling 12 hours in advance may be restricted from scheduling another appointment for a short period. Our advisors take time to prepare for your appointment, and sometimes our appointment times are booked for weeks, so we would like advanced notice to provide the time to another student.
